0-8-1b release notes!
Fixes & updates:
- Fixed an issue that would lock the game for a few minutes when trying to enter the mall dungeon outside of business hours.
- Updated the bouncing mushroom minidungeon and added a boss fight at the end
- Added a new Life Shard to the caves
Last time:
the first area of the caves has gotten a major upgrade!more ledges keep you from going too far without the torch. a "lifestyle tips" sign reminds you of this
- water keeps certain items/areas out of reach until later
- a new enemy and "mini dungeon" segment
- other cave areas have been improved too
- made adjustments to the hotel basement so it's easier to see your character
- also made some changes to item distribution so you go into the boss with more useful items
- Added warp pads near stone gates in the caves
- Added warp pads to the corporate office
What to test:
- Fight as many different enemies as you can at as many different levels as you can.
- Do any enemy movesets stand out as being too overpowered, too repetitive, or using status moves too much?
- Try out the dungeon challenges for the hotel, mall, and warehouse.
- Were you able to find your way there?
- Was there anything that was too confusing or difficult?
- Was the boss fight any good?
- Explore the overworld and caves
- How far can you get without the proper equipment?
- Did you get stuck anywhere?
- Did you get lost?
- Are there any areas that are missing something?
- Are there any areas that look bad?
Known Issues:
- If you get Martin to permanently join you at the shop, the game is likely to crash.
- Level up screen doesn't have enough contrast
- Certain climbing ropes have glitchy behavior.
- Some NPCs have a strange voice.
- Some dialogue boxes appear over the head of characters and some don't.
- Some cave areas are barebones.
- Some items are missing icons or have incomplete icons
- You cannot visit the Heart Rose guy at his apartment.
- If you lose to certain enemies, the game might act like you died twice.

- Additional party member graphics are incomplete
- Graphical issues with some outdoor tiles & fences
- There is a slight “jump“ as you cross over into a new area
- Food items in the mall might appear a full tile higher than where they should.
- If you have a weapon with a field move equipped, it can be hard to speak to NPCs on the other side of a table or counter.
- if you are having this issue, remove and re-equip the pocketknife from the menu to make it the active weapon and nullify field moves.
