Hello everyone!
Back in early December 2022, I shared here on itch.io the pre-alpha of my new project Destroy The Monoliths. Six months later, development is making good progress and I am very happy with the direction the game is taking. Having a game page here was fundamental to start sharing about the project and gather player feedback about the early builds.
However, as things are moving forward, I want to announce that I will not provide any more update on this itch.io page.
Maintaining multiple release channels is actually quite time consuming (each new version requires to keep the page info up to date, to upload specific builds, to post a copy of the devlog with a different formatting, to monitor statistics, etc). As a solo developer my time is quite limited so I have to leverage it the best I can. Since my current plan is to sell the game exclusively on Steam, and now that I have a public Playtest available there, it makes sense to focus on the Steam channel and thus stop giving updates here on itch.io.
I hope you will understand my reasons, and I encourage you to wishlist and follow Destroy The Monoliths on Steam to not miss any important news. Again, I really appreciate the itch.io community and I think this is a great place to share projects very early on. I am removing the HTML5 version that has mixed performances but version alpha 0.6 will remain available for download for now. But please move instead to the Steam Playtest version that showcases my current progress until I release an official demo.
