We're happy to share our completed patch for our Metroidvania project!
We addressed feedback from reviewers and our own experience playing the game. We were especially helped by having our quality assurance team member play through the game periodically to help us address problems that came up through development and find the best solutions to them.
+Pause Menu - you can now change options and return to the main menu from the main game screen!
+Obstacles now have a fresh, new look!
+Levers have been given a makeover
+Main character is now purple to improve visiblity
+Attack sprite has been refined to be bigger and brighter
+Attack and Destroy Light now share one key for easier controls
+New sprites for power-ups for clearer readability
+New cutscenes for encountering and defeating the final boss
+New audio plays upon encountering final boss
+New shader effect for shadows
+New Health and Shadow bars
+A special easter egg
+Fixed case of movement not workign in certain cases
+Attack sounds have variable pitch when attacking in sequence for listener enjoyment
+Fixed enemy attacks not always working
+Dash puzzle at beginning of level has been made easier
+Dash can be cancelled by changing directions mid-dash
+Respawn now only happens inside last shadow character was in
+Controls screen had power-ups removed to improve readability
+Background elements have been given a new paint job and had fuzziness removed
+Music audio has been balanced
+Destroy light power-up's location has been made easier to find
+Fixed case of BGM not looping properly
+Fixed shadow jittering when climbing shadows
+Level design has been refined to avoid player getting stuck
+Fixed walls being treated like shadows in certain scenarios
