Hello, it's been quite a while since I've posted anything here. I don't have time like I used to to work on projects like this, and they are no longer a main focus for me right now. With that said, I am still working on it when I have the time and feel like it. However, I've decided to start from scratch with a new engine. This game was built in GameMaker, but, They seem to be going the subscription service route and I'm not a fan of that in the slightest. Even though I own the full version of GMS 2, it's only a matter of time before they release GMS 3, which will undoubtedly be behind a subscription paywall that I'm not willing to deal with. I have enough subscriptions draining money already. everything from streaming services, to rent. It's all the same. It seems like more and more companies are going to this too, which is very upsetting. hence why I ultimately decided to switch to Godot. It's open source, so it's virtually immune to any corporate BS like this. Godot also seems to be much more versatile than GMS, with the 3d engine being much better for one, but many other things as well.
So for historical purposes, I've decided to call this version the Legacy build. and it will no longer be updated. this final update does make a few changes, The main change being the added debug mode. There are a lot of behind the scene things I never got to finish, but put a lot of time into making. With the debug mode, you can skip rooms and take a peek behind those curtains. There are a fair amount of bugs and crashes that might happen though, so just be aware of that. However, everything should be viewable.
I will be adding the Godot build shortly for people to test the physics. I'm trying to replicate it as much as I can, whilst also making changes to things I feel would be better. Should be up soon after the update. Just keep in mind this is a VERY EARLY build. There's not much here aside from the necessary sprites for the main character and basic graphics. This is just to show off the new engine.
