We are excited to share the latest updates and improvements in our game, which enhance the inventory management and trading mechanics. In this devlog, we will delve into the details of two significant changes: the Action Menu and the Trade Menu, as well as the bug fixes that have been implemented.
Early on in the project, we had introduced the Action Menu, which appeared when a slot in the container or player inventory is right-clicked. This menu provided players with a range of options and actions that can be performed on the selected item. Whether you want to use an item, drop one or the whole stack. This intuitive feature added convenience to item handling. With a simple right-click, you can access the relevant actions and either utilize or dispose of items in your inventory by dropping them on the ground.
Now, in addition to the Action Menu, we have implemented the Trade Menu, which appears when a slot in the trader's inventory is right-clicked. This specialized menu is tailored to trading interactions, which will allow players to purchase items from the trader. Players will be able to purchase a single quantity of the item buy pressing the "buy one" button or by clicking on the "buy quantity" button it is then possible for a player to enter a quantity that it wants to buy from the stack.
As part of our commitment to delivering a polished and seamless gaming experience, we have addressed several bugs that were affecting the inventory management and item handling. The following issues have been resolved:
These changes and bug fixes contribute to an enhanced gameplay experience, providing players with different menus based on the owner of the inventory component for allowing players to have the opportunity to purchase items from traders.
Stay tuned for future devlog updates as we continue to introduce new features, refine existing mechanics, and address any additional issues that may arise. Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey!
