Beta 0.3 IS OUT NOW!
Guess who's back and working on it? This update focuses more on the stuff you don't see but includes a completely new story mission and a new combat mechanic. Here are the details:
Visible Changes:
- Music in the menu, first mission, and wizard mission has been changed.
- New area which will serve as the main story hub for the first part of the story.
- New second mission with the new combat mechanic.
- New combat mechanic: point your mouse at something in the second mission and fire with the right-click.
- New cooldown for the new combat mechanic, displayed at the right side of the health bar in mission 2.
- Enemies behave slightly differently due to a massive code rewrite.
- New report system accessible in the Escape menu at the bottom right.
Changes in the Background:
- Cloud diagnostics implemented for error catching and the report system.
- Preparation for the end fight of the game: Due to excessive lag caused by enemies, I created a new version of enemies without lag. However, during the rewrite, I accidentally made some changes to the old enemies, resulting in slightly different behavior. (Note: The new enemies are only for a prototype of the end fight and are not yet in the game.)
