#major update
adds:
-bigger map! just move across the edge of the screen to move to another chunk of the map. the map is made of a 100x100 grid of chunks.
-new monster variation allows monster to move multiple tiles per tick if they have a certain trait.
-multiple monsters per level.
-map coordinates show on the screen, to help navigate through the new map.
-new traits for monsters, this includes "Health", "Damage", "Spawner", "Sight", and the previously added "Speed" trait.
-press M to see the entire map of loaded chunks. use q and period to move up and down z levels.
-modding capability! check out the mods Directory to get started. to make a mod use python and pygame to display new content. Have fun!(documentation to come out soon)
optimizes:
-main monster list to only access the monsters on your level, should provide better performance.
changes:
-default monster movement speed to be slower.
-2nd ground layer color from reddish to brown.
-ascend and descend buttons have been changed to q and e.
-interact with hemistor Radios and NPCs button has been changed to f.
question: why are the monsters colored??
answer: each monster has a color corresponding to the trait that they have.
- Green is the extra health trait.
- Red is the extra damage trait.
- Purple is the sight trait, which adds how far the monster can detect the player.
- Yellow is the speed trait, which allows the monster to move twice in one turn.
- Cyan is the spawner trait, which allows it to spawn another monster on death.
