v1.1.0: Post-Jam Update!

Crimson Fantasia has been updated to version v1.1.0!

With Bullet Hell Jam 2023 officially over, this update addresses cosmetic and performance issues discovered during the jam, along with quality-of-life upgrades!

A note for Linux users: If you played the jam version (v1.0.0) of Crimson Fantasia in the past, please delete the CRIMSON FANTASIA folder located at ~/.config/unity3d/CROW'S NEST to avoid issues with the online leaderboards and personal bests!

  • Added color coding for whether or not the current gap multiplier is the highest multiplier reached (yellow if it is, cyan if not)
  • Added current music title display
  • Added extra pause binding for keyboard (P)
  • Added personal best and world record tracking, along with color coding for current pace (cyan for PB, yellow for WR)
  • Added version number display to main menu, leaderboard, and results screens
  • Adjusted draw order of certain map props to be drawn under most objects
  • Fixed dash inputs being dropped at high framerates
  • Fixed enemies being able to clip out of the playable area
  • Fixed multiplier popoffs reused from the pool not resetting their font size when spawned during an inactive dash chain
  • Fixed pause screen being drawn under results screen
  • Moved tutorial into its own menu option
  • Recolored dash kill chain text
  • Recolored multiplier popoffs (green if dash kill chain is active, red if not)
  • Reduced max timestep to 33ms
  • Reduced volume of medium and large explosion sounds
  • Revamped credits screen
  • Revamped leaderboard screen
  • Revamped tutorial screen
  • Switched WebGL player template to default, fullscreen-capable style
  • Tweaked intro/outro text
