We are proud to announce the official launch of After The Collapse, our post-apocalyptic base building game.
After The Collapse is a 2D top-down base building game set in a post-apocalyptic world featuring urban environments. Manage a band of survivors and protect them against raiders, mutants and environmental threats. To do so, you'll have to build a base, research new technologies and scavenge for resources. Thanks to its urban and semi-urban environments, After The Collapse has a strong focus on scavenging, repairing and reusing existing structures and technologies. You'll have to send scouts to explore the wastelands and trade with other groups if you want your small colony to thrive.
And, of course, everything you’d usually see in a base building game. Techs to research, rooms and structures to build, fields to farm, raiders to pacify, and dealing with a bunch of uncooperative survivors who get depressed for petty reasons like the lack of food, or missing limbs. We also have a fairly complete list of unique features that will be delivered during the Early Access process on a monthly basis. If you’re curious about our future plans, we also have a page for that.
We know that many people are, understandably, reluctant to buy early-access titles nowadays. If you want to wait it out, it's perfectly fine and we sympathize with the sentiment. That said, we would like to say a few words regarding our Early Access policy:
It's important to note that After The Collapse is not our first game. Our previous title, Unending Galaxy, was a much more complex kind of game from a coding perspective. And while it wasn't in Early Access per say, it still received very regular content and maintenance updates for more than 2 years. We do not have an habit of dropping our projects, even when things are getting tough.
Secondly we're well prepared and organized, we have a public bug-tracking tool ready, a clear road-map and everything planned so far is well within our skill-set. Speaking as the main programmer here, I'm personally fascinated by base building games, I'm an avid player of Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld (not mentioning countless other games). I also have quite a bit of programming experience when it comes to writing artificial life simulations.
Price will gradually increase as major content updates are being delivered until we reach (approximately) $14.99 for the 1.0 version. Price changes will be announcement in advance on our website.
We sincerely hope you'll like our game. If you have any question, we'll be happy to answer them.
