Too much Real Life (tm) and not enough mental bandwidth available for game design recently.
My initial game design wasn't as fun as I wanted. So instead of trying to salvage that part of the game, I have done a pivot. For the last few days I have focused on the spaceship ideas. What were unlikely stretch goals before have become the focus of my work.
Still, I'm not sure if I will have a playable game by the jam deadline. It might end up being little more than a tech demo.
