Finally started working on the visual syncing yesterday. Last weekend, I got caught up in a lot of cleaning and getting sick. Not from the cleaning, just from general day-to-day life. So this weekend was the only weekend I did any dev work.
Oh, but it was quite the drama. Turns out the text editor I was using (visual studio; it was what i used when i was getting my associates in computer technology and i didnt want to change) expired. I didn't even know there WAS an expiration date. I tried to renew it but it couldn't connect to any servers or refresh my credentials or anything. Screw that; time for a new text editor. I tried textreme 2, an editor I'd bought along with a bundle a while ago. But...its not really a coding text editor, its a general text editor. As cool as it was (and as convenient as it was, since I already had it), it wasn't going to work. Had a lot of fun with it; maybe I will use it for the Clash novelization, just to keep me focused and engaged. So i switched to sublime text, and honestly I should have been using it all along because it is so much better than any code editing software I have used in my life. very simple, no-nonsense, and has some nice features like the ability to show my the names of the sprites for each character. so that's where most of my dev time went: trying to get an editor to work, giving up, and finding a new one.
and then i edited in pictures that i shouldve probably edited in weeks ago. better late than never.
so to close this one out, just a note that i had a weeklong sale for the first Clash game going and it ends tomorrow so you should jump in:
