BETA v0.2.1 Patch Notes
- Permadeath/Roguelike Functionality:
- DEFEAT === GAME OVER
- Saving during combat (largest implementation in this update)
- Health persists across encounters
- Augments persist across games
- Reputation persists across games
- Unlockable Content:
- 3/5 heroes now available at game start. Unlock 2 more heroes and alternate powers/ultimates throughout gameplay.
- UI Changes:
- Most UI elements have been changed.
- A black/white/yellow theme is now present throughout most UI elements.
- Most clickable elements now have a background highlight.
- Improved Loading:
- Asynchronous loading implemented. Game starts loading in background immediately.
- Scenes that don’t load anything skip the loading screen entirely.
- No longer causes “Drifter.exe has stopped responding.”
- Combat Difficulty:
- Increase/decrease the difficulty before each combat for increased risks and rewards.
- Extended Tutorialization:
- Tutorials now cover various scenes (i.e. World Map tutorial).
- Enemy Surges:
- Every X turns, the enemy **Surges**, drawing X cards and reduce their cost by X (i.e. Surge 1, Surge 2, Surge 3...), where X is the number of times they've surged.
- Related Cards:
- On zoom card popups, related cards are now displayed (i.e. a card that refers to card X would display card X as a related card).
