Some people end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Enter Roy Cardigan, an unassuming courier tasked with delivering a shipment of robots to a government facility. On the way there, an attempted hijacking occurs and he is mistakenly arrested. Violet McKenna, a townie who witnessed everything, offers Roy safe harbor in her safehouse. She explains that the government is using these robots to replace dissident citizens using a process called "biotics." Applying organic matter from a host to an android biomech was how they did it, she explained. Roy scoffed, but had no choice but to go along with Violet as she was shielding him from serious legal consequences. With the cops hunting them, they seek out a biotics expert, Willow Anyday for help. As the Municipal Area Rapid Response Squad (MARRS) bears down on them, they must expose the conspiracy and stop the man spearheading it.
