#Update
Update 1.1 of our awesome tool 8D Character Creator just got published for Mac and Pc! It sounds kinda minor - a new mode and some filters - but this couldn't be further off from the truth!
Changelog:
RPG Maker Mode: Every animation is reduced to "only" 3 frames so it can be used in the engine directly. There will be 5 spritesheets exported. 1-3 are filled with animations like walk, run, carrywalk and all the other animations we provide in 8 directions. Sheet 4 is a battler sheet, especially formatted to be used with lots of battle plugins and systems. Sheet 5 then includes 8 face cut-outs displaying different emotions that can be used directly as well. The 10 busts are within the package too of course and can be used as you see fit.
Filters: You can now apply different filters to your busts and sprites! Starting with a simple grayscale filter to get rid of colors. You also gain the option to convert your busts and sprites to pixel art with different scales to satisfy each and everyone of you. The biggest feature so is the color palette restriction. You can now select from around 40 color palette presets or just create your own and your busts and sprites will be limited to those colors! You can make each character completely unique and your own and make it fit into your games like never before. Combined with the pixel art filter your art will look even more amazing than ever before! Another nice addition: You can upload images on your own and the tool will convert those to your chosen color palette as well - making your chars, maps and everything else look very similar.
Other new features and updates:
I think you will love this update and wish you lots of fun. Go and make some crazy characters, put them into your games and most importantly enjoy yourself while doing so!
