Hitting The Brakes...

Knocking On Heaven's Gate
A downloadable game

This became an issue for us adult/ero devs for a while now. And most recently, it hit itch.io.

A few of us get a very concerning message stating that the games that we were selling on itch.io was no longer viable for Itch processed payouts. This means that  the game isn't purchasable using PayPal or credit card options provided by Itch, but instead you need to connect your own PayPal account to purchase it. And since what has happened with the (terrible) reign from Exodus Cry, we know damn well it's in direct violation of their TOS. Meaning any money on the PayPal or Stripe account can get confiscated and locked at any time.

Their bland response to the situation:
"When you opt your account into our payouts system, you are asking us to take on the liability of selling your work on all of our merchant accounts, payment processing services, etc. As described in the email, many factors contribute to the risk associated with running an account for someone. Our goal is to enable the most creators to use our service as possible. However, when a seller knowingly shares content that may pose potential issues, it becomes unfair to the rest of the creators we serve."

All of good things have come to the end. "Knocking On Heaven's Gate" is now reaching it's abandonware status, and will not continue it's development in the near future. For those to stopped by to check out, those who added them in the library, thank you for giving it a chance.
