This is the seventh day of developing Neon Nights.
Today I added the generation of the ground under the street, as well as not-yet-finished building generation. At the moment, all it does to generate buildings is to place the main building in the middle and generic buildings to the left and right.
Besides this, I also started to comment my code for a better understanding.
I worked 2 hours today.
Tomorrow, I will fix the building generation bug I explained above. Furthermore, I will add valleys every 5 to 10 buildings. After that I will add a proper background and generate features on the buildings, e.g. destruction, graffiti, trash, etc. When this is done, I will start with the implementation of the lighting, that means a darker surrounding, street lanterns, neon lights, ... This should be enough work for the entire week.
