Heya everyone,
Today I want to spend a little time developping what i'm working towards in term of NPC interaction. This is a point that I want to really develop, because I thing this is perhaps, with the continence and diaper system, one of the most important system in a diaper-focused game. A lot of the fun come from the NPC reaction and interaction.
I already did some things on that side : Some NPCs can throw some comments at you when you pass near them in certain states, and of course they react differently depending on what you're wearing. But for the next update, I want to crank it up to eleven.
The first thing I've worked on is a "companion" NPC script that will allow some selected NPC to follow you around. Forw now this is quite scripted and dedicated to special story event, but the end goal is to work toward "Caregivers" NPCs that will follow you around.
And, in addition to that, I worked on adding "Events" (namely, Accidents or Farts) to the game's logic. Same idea, the goal is to make the NPC following you (or any NPC) able to react on the fly to an event without you needing to engage a dialog.
So, that's it, all the frameworks are in place and working ! Now, the most time consuming thing will be to write and implement all the dialogs that I'll need to fill out all theses events, and that will be no easy feat.
