Hi BBC Pro-sters,
BBC Core is finished, a major waypoint on the way to BBC Pro. I thought I would upload it for you to work with while you're waiting.
Any issues, contact chris@sibelius-services.com is the best way.
Known things I can't do anything about include Sibelius messing up ensembles when you import multiple house styles. You also need to read the manual about Spitfire Play preload for this library: 32768 in Core will take up about 23Gb of RAM, and that will protect you from most note-stealing (only happens in real-time, not in renders). 16384 will increase the possibility of note-stealing, but obviously halve the RAM. The way it's looking, if you don't have 64Gb RAM minimum, the Pro version probably won't be usable. I will look into doing a Core version but with the extra instruments in Pro but which isn't abusive on memory because of all the microphones. They will be manageable with a Sibelius plug-in, something I already did in Spitfire Studio Brass Pro. I think I'll need to do something similar to pretty much all of the libraries with multiple mics, since manually managing them patch-by-patch is simply unworkable - there are simply too many patches to change.
There's other notes in the manual about the library use, and some notes in the template (don't play all tracks at once!) and Zoids (play it at once).
Hope you enjoy it, it's a nice library!
To engage with me and other people interested in this stuff, please nip over to scorelikeadaw.com where there are pages for each library and a little forum for each.
