Day 3 Summary

Kumori (曇)
A downloadable game

As the deadline gets ever so closer, I actually start to feel better and better. Honestly I can't wait to begin voting, but of course, I have to finish my own game first! Of course I'm only half-way through my time, even though my game is probably 60% done. I actually should have pretty much all of the art finished! (minus the background. That part isn't going to be fun.)

(Main character, don't know what to call him yet. I'm not good with this sort of art, but it actually looks semi-okay!)

As development goes on, the story and general aspects do get better as I become more experienced. I won't spoil the story here - you'll have to play the game to find out the actual story - but I feel like the melancholic aspects are working better than I expected. Of course I don't really expect it to be that emotional, I am still a relatively new game developer in the grand scheme of things.

With performance, the game runs well on my 3060ti, obviously, but I'm not sure if it's going to run well on other computers. It only uses about 50 MB of ram, and 0% of my CPU (a Ryzen 2700x, so certainly nothing new), but it could still run poorly. Obviously I severely doubt it, but it's not like I've actually implemented enemies yet! It'll run well. Very well.

In all honesty, I think I'll be mostly done by tomorrow. Then I can test it for fairness, fix up the really bad looking crosshair that I have currently, and get the trailer done for it. Then I can just submit it and get on with other things!
