This week we started working on the boss character, we modeled the boss in Zbrush, unwrapping in maya and added textures in substance painter.
We also started creating our modular assets to build our level environment with. With those assets we were able to build a first draft of our level.
The meat was reworked and the fireplace in which the players will have to cook their food was also modeled.
Items can now be correctly grabbed and dropped. A rock swing animation has been added, but it needs polishing.
Chickens have been added, they spawn over time and wander in their assigned zone for now. Maybe for the polish phase we might make them wander over the whole map with a navmesh, but for now this is fine. (The chicken mesh is a placeholder)
Meat has been added that can be placed on a fireplace, the fireplace will hold the meat and cook it over time. As the meat cooks, its color changes as well. The player can pick the meat up again whenever they want to. (The meat mesh is made by ourselves but the fireplace mesh is a placeholder)
The boss has been added to the scene and you can give him cooked meat. For now there is not that much functionality to the boss yet. All you can do is give him cooked food.
