Hey Party Panic! fans,
Chris here!
We hope you had a fantastic Easter! Despite the festivities, our development journey continued with exciting updates and improvements. Let's dive into the latest progress on Party Panic!
Player Selection and Customization Menus
We've created a menu that allows you to choose whether each player will be locally controlled by a human or managed by the computer. With this new feature, you can easily set up the perfect game for you and your friends.
Additionally, we've developed a menu for human players (up to 4) to select the color of their avatar. Personalize your experience and stand out from the crowd!
4-Player Local Multiplayer Foundation
We spent a significant amount of time learning and implementing the use of multiple gamepads for 4-player local multiplayer. This foundation is now in place and ready to be used for all future minigames, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for everyone.
New Minigame: QuadraPaddle
Introducing "QuadraPaddle," a 4-player pong-inspired game where players are eliminated once they're scored on. The last player standing wins! Get ready for some fast-paced, competitive action in this exciting addition to our minigame lineup.
Wrapping Up
Our latest devlog showcases the progress we've made with menus, the multiplayer foundation, and the introduction of a new minigame. As always, we appreciate your support and enthusiasm for Party Panic! Stay tuned for more updates and improvements as we continue to refine and expand our game.
Until next time, keep the party going!
