We’ve been hard at work since the v0.1 update to make Quest Giver feel like more of a real game (as opposed to a jam submission), so now v0.2 brings you:
📚 A full tutorial and 2 playable scenarios
🎮 Controller support, and a resizable screen + fullscreen option
🎶 Music, and a recolorization to a sepia palette
👍 Improved UI, giving more info on the heroes and quests
🛠️ A main menu, plus an in-game options menu
😉 Facial animations for the NPC’s you interact with
… and so much more!
This week we’ll be doing a bit of a “writer’s retreat”, coming up with new scenarios, so there won’t be a weekend update.
For v0.3 our focus will be to add more quest variety, more hero interactions, and several more playable scenarios, as well as filling out the last 2 tabs in the work station (a player inventory for rewards to assign to contracts, and a task list to state the current objectives).
