V13: World Generation
This update mainly focuses on overhauling the overworld, and new player experience, but also includes a handfull of new gear items, new location types, and some actual events.
New overworld generation
Rather than a flat plains, the world now visually generates on a forested peninsula with mountain ranges in the north. V12 generation placed 60 fully random locations. V13 generation places 1 starting campfire, 65 "normal" locations, 5 "secret" locations, and an unknown number of crossroads anywhere where roads connecting the other locations would literally cross. Of the 65 normal locations, 2 are defined as described in new player experience, 1 is the area capital, and up to 5 are crossroads connecting to the secret locations.
New location types
There are 4 new location types:
- The capital, which can only appear once and prefers southern coastal headlands, offers tickets to depart to a new world seed for 1000g.
- The wizards tower, appear as the 5 secret locations; they currently do nothing but are planned to offer some valuable magical services.
- The crossroads appear in front of any secret locations, and at literal crossroads. They serve only to host events to find secret areas.
- Burned forests are an adventure node with a foggy dead forest parallax, they currently share the same enemy list as crypts.
New player experience
Players migrating a V12 save will have thier gear-slot and max-health upgrades refunded, and will be placed at the starting campfire, maintaining and consumables and gear items they previously had.

There are 8 new gear items, although only 7 of them are currently obtainable, they are:
