Apr. 2 - Apr. 8 Final Demo
illucidA downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This week we are having final demo. We redo the SuperView level and EdgeCut intro level, fixing logic for in-level puzzles/mechanics like laser and player respawn, improving UI for player abilities.
Developer Log
- Apr. 2:
- replace open/close eye animation frames with clearer ones
- adjusting new layout and finish lightning for new Edgecut intro level
- Apr. 3:
- add laser room UI
- add dotted line to indicate cutting edges
- Apr. 4:
- small change on intro level layout: drop object hint position, remove laser room
- new slicing method for EdgeCut
- fixing outline/highlight sometimes flashing issue
- Apr. 5:
- make gravity feel less "Unity-like"
- add music to all EdgeCut levels
- replace cuttable cubes with other objects
- enable cutting object with multi layers (e.g, a golden apple is covered with a big apple, when the big apple is cut, the golden apple will fall out)
- update laser respawn logic
- change background material for EdgeCut room 3
- Apr. 6: Final Demo
- edit UI menu, volume settings, adding separate settings for main volume and bgms
- lower default mouse sensitivity
- fix that game will stuck when player press "Esc" during transaction
- Add authority declare for bgm used in EdgeCut levels
- add textures and lighting for Superview levels
