#release
Hey 👋, after a long break, I returned to Pocket Planner development. In this devlog, I’ll present a new feature and discuss plans and price increases.
In the last release devlog, I mentioned looking at Time Zones or Contacts. Time Zones were my priority because I considered them more useful. But I fall into the rabbit hole. The topic is complex, and the Lua ecosystem didn’t offer much help. So, after a discussion with @noah, I decided to return to Contacts. So here it is - I’m happy to announce the fourth Pocket Planner - Contacts. Mimicking physical rotary contacts/business card holders, Pocket Planner can be a storage for basic contact information. I’m not going to lie - screening through them with a crank is very satisfying.
One feature I must add to Contacts is generating a scannable vCard QR code. Thanks to that, you will be able to access Pocket Planner contacts on your phone quickly. It will be a minor update (version 3.X) without a big announcement, so please check itch after some time to get it. What next? @heliad proposed something that sounds very cool - kanban task management. As a software developer, I found this very appealing. If you have any experience with the Time Zones topic that can guide me on the correct tracks, please don’t hesitate to reach out with tips.
I decided to increase the Pocket Planner price by 1$. Some people waited for Contacts so the price increase would happen after a grace period. If you are reading this, you probably already bought Pocket Planner, but if not, you still have one week to buy it under the old price (3$).
If you find any problems, please report them in the comments. Of course, if you have any suggestions, please also share them.
