For this game we used pixel art style because it is easier and save a lot of time. But we don't just make one background/tiles and put it in the entire game. We created 5 backgrounds for our levels and use different tiles each enviroment. We already created our main characters and a few monsters for the enemies. And some of the tiles we used are from the asset store in unity.
