It's been a while huh?! Hello!!! Hi-ho, Wudge here.
I've still been updating my devlog on tumblr every single week, so if you ever miss me, please don't hesitate to check my pulse over there. I realized I haven't updated the itch page in a while though, so I wanna catch y'all up on where we're at.
Most notably, NEW ART. Lots and lots of new art. One of the most recent being the MC portraits I redrew;
(... I think itch.io has a yucky habit of squishing the image by width, so dont hesitate to right click and "open image in a new tab" if anything looks weird.... I think I fixed it!!)
Here they are compared to the early demo versions:
The colors run too dark and I still need to give them clothes and accessories, but I’m very very happy with where the portraits are at. Much happier than when I first drew them in 2021!
I have the layers organized as tidily as I can, as a kindness to my future self who may be drawing additional portraits for crowdfunding rewards. <3
Additionally, here's some screencaps of updated sprites and how the game is shaping up. We updated the Clammy Lady, puppy, and landlord courtesy of the always awesome Remnantation (who might be re-opening commissions soon!)
And a couple more screencaps...
We've also got a decent chunk of expressions, animations and choices... Sooo many choices.
All the major character sprites blink now, too.
Griffin's CG scene is mostly done.
And I commissioned a bit of superpower animation from the very lovely REGAL BONES, who takes commissions and (I believe) is now working on a game of her own!
Aside from all that, I've spent a chunk of time playtesting, balancing character points, coding tutorial screens... I've left out some of the more nittygritty/in-progress stuff, so don't hesitate to check my tumblr for more detailed devlogs.

I'll be running another poll after the updated demo comes out, and will be sure to let yall know about it here so we can have a wider net of votes. No release date just yet, because I'm still slogging through writing and coding choices, but everything is certainly coming togetherrrr.
