v1.03 Various post-jam fixes and updates
v1.03 released 03/29/23 (first post-jam build)
Updates to Controls:
- Player now looks down when crouching
- Player can now look up by pressing W or Up Arrow
- Alternative controls implemented: Jump with X, Dash with Z
- Map is now activated with Tab key (instead of M)
- Full gamepad support implemented for action, dialogs, and menus
- Player no longer falls off a moving platform when shooting a fireball
Updates to Difficulty and Enemy Behavior:
- Minor terrain changes in initial area, making it slightly easier
- Added a checkpoint early in the game
- Blue fireballs shot by Lizard Priest and Soothsayer no longer create a harmful explosion radius
- Beaming Horrors now attack less frequently
- Lizard Pilgrims no longer throw their bomb if interrupted early by a player attack
Updates to Visuals and UI:
- The Double Jump wings now blink properly when Player is injured
- Lowered opacity on sword trails for Player and Lizard Knights
- The Player now always faces the speaker during dialogs
- Updated scale of sprites in introduction for consistency
- UI elements in the Main Menu are now properly anchored
- Map Screen: You Are Here now represented by a crocodile head
- Buttons in UI give a stronger visual indication when hovered over
- Buttons in UI do not remain "selected" after a previous click
- It is no longer possible to bring up the Map or Pause Screen outside the main game scene
- Other minor UI updates
