As those who followed the Goober's devlog know, I had a game idea in mind featuring a machine gun, suppressive fire, enemy AI, and a whole bunch of stuff. Well I took a shot at starting to actually make it. Step one: a really satisfying machine gun (or two).
I messed around a whole bunch with the Unity animator, used textures for once (whoa), tried to use unity terrain and hated it, and did some funking with URP post processing (bloooooooooooom!). The result so far is something I'm pretty happy with :D. It's also a good reminder to myself (and others, who knows) how dang important sound is to game feel.
Up next: probably some basic enemies, hopefully a little bit of environment.
