Final version for update 52 and onwards, until new sounds are added to the game. (Even then, I'm likely to only update the mod for major updates, or most likely updates that add more than 2-3 sounds.)
- Interior sounds removed for weapons that share their sounds with vehicle mounted armaments (No longer any way to differentiate them, defaulting to exterior sounds)
- Rain sounds cut down to only be external (Same reason)
- Trains "patched" so that they actually make noise that vaguely resembles a train
- Several additional fixes to prevent future conflicts
- Extraneous audio files removed (ongoing file downsizing will continue as the game continues to update)
Project is now indefinitely suspended, and is on "life support." I will make sure it remains functional, but updates will be few and far between, and apart from replacing atrocious base game sounds, do not expect any more content updates.
It's been an honor creating something that so many of you appreciated. Honestly, it's far more than I think I deserve. I think we've made enough of an impact with #savethesoundmod that the devs can't reasonably ignore it, but we'll have to see how things shake down. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of those fighting for my mod's survival. Each and every post that says #savethesoundmod restores my faith in the foxhole community. At some point in the future I may continue some of my older mods, such as the Vanilla+ soldier remodel, but many people have taken up the mantle on a lot of my smaller mods, especially the UI mods. As is, I've no motivation to continue work on Foxhole mods, but if I ever return, I'll make sure to let y'all know.
