INTRODUCTION
Hello gamers and fellow game devs! I completely lied about version 1.4 being the final update, as I have recently received a lot of feedback on this game, and it got me motivated to go back and make a few changes.
For new viewers who don't quite know what this project is, End The Slend is a first person horror game based around the Slenderman, a popular horror meme from back in the day. It was made for a 7 day game jam battle against my good friend Nogard, who also made his own Slenderman game. I also made a video about the game jam, which you can check out HERE!
After making a few updates, I had planned to leave this project alone and work on a new project. While I do have a big project in the works, it came to my attention that I had received some very helpful feedback and criticisms about this game. When hearing these new perspectives, it motivated me to run it back and make a few changes to this game. So I now dub this update as...
As the name suggests, this update has a lot to do with the overall look of the game. The main things that were changed are the skybox and the fog. The skybox was originally very dark, same with the fog, and although this matched up pretty closely with the original Slender : The Eight Pages as planned, it made the game frustrating at times, as it was difficult to get a good grasp at your surroundings and figure out where you need to go next. So for the skybox I changed it to a more unique dark purple sky, and for the fog I decreased it's density and made the fog lighter, allowing the player to see more than 5 feet in front of them.
So without further ado, here is the changelog for update 1.5!
And that's all! I'm not going to say that this is the last update, as that was a lie before, but I currently have no plans to update this project further. If you play this game and come across any bugs, please let me know! I'll hop back in to do some bug fixing, just no major updates planned. As always, I greatly appreciate any playthrough videos being made, as it is the best way for me to learn about my games. Thank you for taking the time to read, and if you choose to play, I hope you enjoy!
