I've gotten this prototype to a point where you can enter a battle and attack, but I think I'm getting to the point where the simplicity of PICO-8 is hindering my learning. I really enjoyed building this though and I think my next move is to start building with Monogame. Lua and PICO-8 was nice for something small, but I found myself wanting to build more complex objects and classes.
