Build 0.8 Info! Major update set to release SOON!

In Heat
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Hey hey people it’s been a while, hasn’t it? It’s about time we talk, just you and me.

Yes, this is about In-Heat. I just wanted to say, while there is a lack of an update in the last few weeks, we have actual good reason for it. You see, In-Heat started as a Gamejam game, A quick concept we could put together and have fun with. A game we could showcase while HeartStruck was in the building phase.

If you didn’t know, Heartstruck was meant to be our flagship game. A lewd ERPG with the ability to use ACT commands to entice enemies. But lets keep on topic with In-Heat.

Being a GameJam game, you don’t exactly take safe coding options, sacrificing a lot for speed. This sacrifice alone hurt In-Heats overall ability to be expanded upon. Not only that but it was constructed using a physical coding system. I can imagine all the programmers reading this cringing.  As such when we switched programmers, and hired new people, it led to a slowdown. Unfortunately, it was a sacrifice that had to be done.

Unfortunately the white screen issue persisted through the programmer change, alongside an unfortunate glitch that would increase the time it took to export the build (roughly 3-6 hours) Which made bug testing really difficult.

Things needed to change, in which I called a couple old friends for assistance. We ended up hiring a brand-new AAA programmer to assist with the game. After a very funny meeting where we went through the games code. It was decided that the current platform was not acceptable for future development, especially with the amount of reception we received. As such, we decided to completely reprogram the game, It was perfect timing since the new models were complete.

As such development started. We finished up what we could with In-Heat 0.7X. And adjusted the caching to hopefully circumvent the issues the game had. Then moved on to In-Heat 0.8.

In Heat 0.8 presents a lot of changes.

    • Upgraded the engine to Unreal 5.
    • We now use the models crafted by Kekitopu, (Maddy Fans rejoice).
    • Incorporated an actual AI system rather than using RNG checks for movement.
    • Removed the Gacha System.
    • Integration of an investigation system, where you can find items on the map. (Learn about lore and stuff.) 0.81+
    •  Ari has been integrated as our boss character.
    • Removal of the nightclub area, since its being revamped into a Poppi Inspired zone. Its gameplay was a bit sub-par, and I’d rather give the player an easier way to head pat ALL of the girls with a future system.
    • Admin room has stayed the same for the most part. We did update textures and adjust the map a bit.
    • Integration of a streamer/youtuber mode so that Dawko can play the game. (Jk they won’t).
    • White Screen Issue Fix (should kinda already be there with the newest legacy)
    • Sexy pixel art minigames!
    • And More!


    I don’t want this game to be low quality like the many H-games I see on Steam (except Carnal Instinct, you are the GOTE, THE GOTE!). But of course, this means it will take time to make something polished.

    Yes, we have an established lore. I understand a big part of these games is to have a sort of ARG metagame where the theorists try to figure out all the secrets a game like this has. I welcome this sort of activity and have hopefully constructed something you all will enjoy.

    2: Will In-Heat have a VR mode.

     No, I want to concentrate on finishing the first game, then if the outcry is enough we can possibly get a VR exclusive title. I understand however that VR-pornagraphy just hits a bit different. As such I’ve been personally investigating a solution where we can export our sex scenes in such a way that they can be played by a platform like DeoVR.


    3: Will In-Heat be on steam?
     Yes, but after playing a lot of bad early access hentai games, I decided that I didn’t want my first release to give that sort of experience. I greatly appreciate our fanbase on Itch and will continue using it for our early access builds. In-Heat will release on steam within the next year, when it is ready.


    4: Can Poppi sit on my face?

     Maybe with a VR solution, yes!

    I once again want to thank all of you for your continued support, and as a token of appreciation we have released the animation ready variants of the CLASSIC In-Heat models. Keep in mind they are far from perfect, but I felt this was the best way to immortalize the original models!
