Progress report (08/03/23)

Pulsatio Cordis (FULL GAME)
A downloadable visual novel for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Hello hello! So, after reading through the feedback from my last post, I've decided not to update the game after all, since basically everyone who commented wanted to keep up the suspense and wait for the full game's completion! But a lot of people also asked for some more transparency, AKA  a progress report/WIP screenshots. I understand that being kept in anticipation for so long would make you guys wonder just what progress has been made so far, and so that's what this post is about!

So this post will be split into two parts; a progress report consisting of what scenes/routes have been completed, and a section consisting entirely of WIP screenshots! Fun, fun... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So let's get into the nitty gritty!

Progress Report

I've split every major section of the game into different .rpy files to make things easier. They are named "script.rpy", "haunted_house.rpy", "arcade.rpy",  "rollercoaster.rpy", and "endings.rpy". That should give you an idea of the other places you and Liev will go during your date...

script.rpy: Script and CGs 100% done and uploaded! This file contained the entire demo.

haunted_house.rpy: Script and CG done. I've been thinking of redoing the CG though... (gonna be a bit of a pain considering it has a few pose variations...)

arcade.rpy: Script and CGs done.

rollercoaster.rpy: Script and CG done. Thinking of adding another CG...

endings.rpy: Six major endings planned, so this section will take the longest to complete . Script in progress, none of the CGs completed yet. Eight unique CGs planned.

CGs: So far, 6 of the 14 planned CGs have been completed.

WIPs

... Since itch.io won't let me post a lot of images at a time, I've compiled the WIP screenshots into a Google doc. Here's the link  (contains 5 images, may be updated with more when I feel like it/I have more progress to share):

Conclusion

This post was a lot shorter than usual, but then again I'm not really sure what else there is to say! I hope this gave you a clearer picture of my vision for the game (as spoiler-free as possible, of course!).

Thank you so much for all of the support (whether it be comments, fanart, or even Youtube playthroughs!). I hope that you guys are having a wonderful day!

Until next time,

- Lucia.
