Update 3 changes & info!

Demons Within update 3 is out on Patreon!

It's finally here!

This one took a bit longer than usual. With the end of the year, I went through a lot of personal stuff and, because of that, the usual. Things got a little delayed. The update also ended up being longer than planned as some new ideas popped in that seemed very appropriate and I very much wanted to include them.

This update starts branching things a little again. There are choices that lead to different outcomes and one big choice at the end that will define the next chunk of the game you see. I won't spoil things, but since that separation is pretty big, we will start with one side in the next Update and move on to the other afterward. We had a poll on Patreon on which character we should follow first and the one that won will have its side implemented first! The other will have to wait a little while longer, but we'll get to it as well regardless.

Update 3 Changelog

• Around 17k words of new content

• New character sprites and new expressions and assets added to some existing sprites

• Added tooltips to the main interface buttons when hovering over them with a mouse to make their purposes clear

• The Essence Wheel will now appear in places where new content is planned but hasn't been developed yet. This includes the bad ending of Update 2, for example

• Improved auto-skip a little more so it stops automatically when the Essence Wheel shows up, but not in a way that can lead to invisible sprites behind the wheel
• Demons Within has a new logo! Its new color scheme will start reflecting on the interface updates coming in the next updates

That being said, all the positive feedback and support from people excited about playing the game has been incredibly motivating just as well. I'm thrilled that people are enjoying the concept of Demons Within and I have so many plans to expand it in so many ways! We'll get there!
