First I'll start with what happens next with the game, then end on what I've updated in the game itself.
I'm now preparing for the game's Steam release. I want to do one final content update before then that will be available on Itch as the game launches on Steam. I have a final "secret/ending" to complete, and will be doing major visual improvements to the game's environments. That along with any other improvements I make will become the "Final Update."
I've had the game listed at $3.99 because Itch generously allows developers to set how much of a cut Itch takes on game sales. There is also the option to be paid directly, instead of the payment being collected by itch, then sent to me by them. This is pretty incredible for developers I'd say. However, now that I plan to release the game on Steam, those options essentially go out the window. Of course Steam has a larger reach, meaning more potential customers, so those things may balance out in the end. All of this is to say, I'll be bringing the price of the game back up to $4.99 upon its launch on Steam. I think that's a fair price regardless, but I wanted to make that known before the price goes up.
