Devlog - Reuben's Route (around 90% complete!)

Hi everyone!

Since it's been a while, I decided to do another update here!

Reuben's route is is coming along well. I've completed most of the work with creating and adding assets.

Since my last post, I've coded all the music and SFX, I've created the new sprites for the unique characters, new sprite variations for Morgan and Reuben. I've created and coded the flowcharts and, most importantly, I've coded in all the sprite expressions.

Currently the work left to be done is:

  • create a few BG animations.
  • draw the CGs and code those in
  • Then test everything


I have a couple of simple animations I want to make before I release the route in beta but the biggest amount of work left is creating the CGs. I currently have 3/8 CGs complete. So there are 5 left.  

I'm trying to really pace myself with the art due to having issues with my drawing hand so I'm trying really hard not to overwork myself.

I do not have an ETA on release yet because it ultimately depends on how long it takes to finish CGs and how much time we have to spend testing everything and typo hunting!

I'm hoping that I can release Reuben's route by the end of March or beginning of April but I don't want to give a specific date yet. However, we are definitely getting closer!


Though I'm not working on Yuu's route officially yet, I have been replanning the plot and overhauling the outline. Mostly if I'm taking a break from art. That way when Reuben's route is being tested, I can start focusing on writing Yuu's route!
