#demo
A month or so ago I started working on this little 2D puzzle game called Braincell after an online discussion about how cats seemingly share one single braincell. Fast-forward to today and I am releasing my first demo level of Braincell for people to play!
It's small right now (my speedrun record is 5 seconds), just a single level with the core mechanic of "Click on cat to give it the braincell". You have two cats and one braincell, and the goal is to open the door to get to the food bowl. Only the cat with the braincell can move, so you need to coordinate. You almost literally need to herd cats to win.
I plan on doing a larger demo soon with a few levels and possibly some more mechanics and assets. Mostly I wanted to get this out in front of people early to A.) get feedback and B.) keep myself accountable. Planned/considered features currently include:
The main core mechanic will be driving most of the level design. I want to keep it simple for now, work within that constraint and see what challenges I can come up with. I don't want it to be on the difficulty level of Baba Is You for example, but there should be some thought involved in the solutions (since we humans are blessed with two, sometimes even three braincells).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy playing this silly game at least half as much as I have enjoyed making it. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
