MyGF: Another Episode Release Date Announcement!

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for following the development of MyGF. We hit 12k downloads this weekend!! Hooray!

I have some very exciting announcements to make as a celebration for this huge milestone:

The MyGF ‘DLC’, ‘Another Episode’, will be out here on itch.io on February 14th, 2023 - Valentine’s Day!

The mininum price is $4.00, with a 10% off discount for the first week of release. As with the original game, it’ll be playable on Windows, Linux, Mac and Android devices.

However, the recommended pricing will be $5.00, due to the fact that 30% of every purchase is automatically used to pay off international seller taxes. Regardless of the amount you pay, you’ll get access to the entire game and its future updates with no limitations or extra payments.

Another Episode features several new endings, routes, and CGs - overall, it’s hours of new content. There are choices to make that might set you on a whole new path, or end the game prematurely. You’ll discover new sides of the cast and enjoy the story from a new perspective.

I call it DLC for convention’s sake, but it’s a standalone game, meaning you don’t need to have the base MyGF game installed to play it.

I have plans to make two other episodes; these will be released after the base Episode has a sold a few copies, for no extra cost - it’s more of a limit for myself so I don’t get burnt out on game dev than a goal.

I’d like to spend the money Another Episode makes to pay for steam’s $100 app credit (required to publish a game on Steam) and get MyGF and its DLC to an even bigger audience, which will hopefully allow me to sell even more copies to make better games.

As for the Google Play version, I’m working on getting the game’s page set up. It’s just kind of a tedious process. Tell your friends about this cool new game that’ll be available for most Android devices (including two kinds of cars??) soon…!

To summarize:

• Base Another Episode DLC coming out on February 14th for $4.00 (10% off discount on first week) with more content planned;
• Plans to release MyGF on Steam if the DLC does well enough to pay the $100 publishing fee;
• Base MyGF game will be available on Google Play Soon(tm);
