Howdy everyone! Long time no update, but don't worry, we've just been recuperating and busy with our own lives over the past year since Lookouts released. We're not done yet though - we've got some unfinished business with Lookouts, and we're working on something devilishly fun and new for the future too...
For 2023 and the first anniversary of Lookouts' full release, we've got FOUR big things to share!
First of all, YOU can nominate Lookouts for an Ursa Major award!!
The Ursa Major awards (furry media awards) are currently accepting nominations, and you can nominate Lookouts! If you enrol on their website (it's really easy you don't even have to make an account or password), you can nominate Lookouts in the Best Anthropomorphic Game category! If enough people nominate us we could end up on the ballot for voting, and maybe win an award?! To be clear we aren't nominated yet, this is letting them know we should be nominated! It would be silly of us to miss this opportunity and nominations are only open until Feb 11th, so we're humbly asking if you think Lookouts deserves a chance, could you take 5 minutes out of your day and nominate us because that would be very cool B) Nomination website here: https://ursamajorawards.org/nominations.htm
The Development Artbook and final Mini Comics will be released in the coming months!
We have time again to work on stuff! Hooray! We'd hoped to have these out sooner to complete the Gold Edition, but life got in the way like usual. Regardless we're happy to say the Gold Edition will be complete for the first anniversary. Ultimately the time away to reflect on Lookouts has been good, and we think you'll be happy with the end result. (Note: This won't change the price and you won't have to pay extra if you already have it, these were always meant to be part of the Gold Edition.)
Merchandise is in the works!
Col's been hard at work on some amazing merch designs and we've got some really cool stuff in the pipeline that we're looking to release when we can, most likely around the time of the first anniversary. This includes stickers, postcards, and t-shirts, with some other things in the works too 👀
Translations will be coming to Lookouts!
Yes, you read that right! While we never originally had any plans to translate Lookouts and have said as much in the past, we've been approached by a lot of people interested in doing translation work on Lookouts, and so over the past few months there's been a lot of tinkering and modifying of the game to accommodate other languages. We finally feel it's at a stage where we can confidently say there will be translations for Lookouts, but can't confirm which languages as of yet. The timeframe for these is "when they're done", as the translators are all incredibly gracious volunteers with their own commitments and lives besides translating a cowboy game. Like everything else in this post, we'll let you know more when we have something to share!
