Here it is, a first glimpse of the vampire-sim game I started 2 months ago when I announced the development pause on Synthnostate 1. In short, I decided to build a simpler RPG in a popular engine (Godot) for faster development and the possibility of collaboration, and I’m releasing early and often in hopes of getting noticed by fans, testers, and collaborators.
As you can see, it’s very early in development. We have a few demo levels, save/load, two nameless NPCs, basic game mechanics and AI, item pickup, inventory, keyboard/control settings, and rudimentary character customization.
Agenda 2042 takes place in a slightly fictionalized timeline 28 years after Synthnostate 1. Now, aliens openly live among us and no one cares. The world is still ruled by shadowy elites, and you play the shadowiest of them all - an ancient vampire, or a younger one if you prefer - stuck in a postmodern transhumanist society. How you leech off humanity is your choice; you can be as good or evil as you like. There’s no big story, just a slice of unlife.
