Dont Die 4.8 Update (2 Year anniversary)
Quality of life, Menu improvements, a little content
Features:
- Blood Altar added functionality, can be placed anywhere via construction menu, dismantled, and destroyed
- Magnifying glass now says mushroom color
- Added the option to play as a wolf when selecting gender (Experimental, may be broken in some areas)
- Full screen toggle is now functional
- Can now leave messages on some cave walls
- Cave walls hp increased to 300
- Changed some resolution quality
- Improved the title screen buttons
- Menu background color changed from green to black, and made less transparent (let me know if this is preferred)
- Reworked the audio options menu, adding a mute function, and allowing volume change in increments of 5 instead of only 10
- Increased the health of necromancer dens by 100
- Flamethrowers do increased damage to ice walls
- Ice walls melt faster when cast in the desert
- Reduced magic costs from body morphing
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug causing the blizzard spell not to slow enemies
- Blacksmith table no longer spawns infinite wooden mallets
- Fixed a character origin not being set during character creation
- Fixed a bug causing magic to fall way below 0 points
Today also marks the 2 year anniversary of Dont Die, February 1st. Although I was working on it in January 2021, I didn't upload a functional build until February. The game has really come a long way and hopefully will come even further in the coming years.
I've got some other projects in the work right now, including a dodge ball game that will come probably in a week or two. But for now thanks for keeping up with development, and any feedback is appreciated, specifically let me know how the new menu colors are, I was a bit worried that it might hurt the aesthetic of the game, but I want to hear from players.
