Alright, basically Fickle Sciences is an optional mechanic to cover Magic, Technological Gadgets, and whatever is in between.
Fickle Sciences mechanics are based on Heroic Chord/Harmony Drive by Peach Garden Games. Or at least what stuck with me from its fantastic magic system. It is flexible, free-form, easy to understand, and pushes player creativity.
I'll add some design advice on availability for it later, but for now, I recommend that all player characters have access to it.
I made some minor edits and renamed the bits of the Condition system a bit: now permanent conditions become Traumas and once you treat them they become Scars.
