As an update from the last post about these mechanics, I was able to use the relative transform node to make the levers and sliders more compatible with rotations, this can be seen in the video below

As for the in-game menu, the height slider is still redundant but the volume and hand switcher are fully operational. As seen in the video below. The hand switching process can be seen more clearly in the previous radial menu post.
