It has been 1 year and two days, since the release of Rogue64 digital edition on January 15th, 2022! 🎉
What a ride it has been! Loads of great reviews and lovely feedback after release, which was so heart warming and motivating! People are still playing Rogue64 one year later! Thank you everyone! 💓
Ok. Enough with the exclamation points. This post is all about getting the most out of Rogue64.
In February 2022 we wrote a few tweets with tips for playing Rogue64, so to make sure they don't get forgotten, we have collected them here for you to read and put into use:
Tip1: Did you know "Strong Ale" potion gives you +1 Strength in addition to making you drunk? Based on our own experiences a +1 temp strength whilst drunk is realistic! 😀
Tip2: If you want to get far in the game, then you need to take out as many monsters as possible the first levels to max out the number of early perm stats upgrade gems.
Tip3: Use the turn based movement to your advantage. Make the monsters come to you, so you get the first attack. You can walk into walls to "skip" a turn.
Tip4: To max out the advantage of healing hearts, don't pick them up unless you have 1 or 2 health. When you start meeting monsters that can hit you for 2 or more hitpoints, then you can pick up hearts at three or more hitpoints.
Tip5: You can break off from combat at any time you want. If your HP is low, make a run for it and look for a heart to heal. 😋
