It was Day #6 now,
It was time to work on the second level
So I opened my trusty Paint3D and started making some concept art.
I decided to make a wheel of gravity which controls the gravity of the level, So hitting it with orbs will reverse its flow, thus reversing the direction of gravity. It was a bit abstract I thought it made sense
I also decided to make it a full on puzzle level without any enemies I finally made some concept art which I thought looked pretty cool
Now It was blender time!
I made the model for the spikes and the wheel and imported them into Unity.
I decided to give them a checkerboard texture as it looked cool and kinda creepy.
Now the tough part, The gravity inversion
I thought it would be very hard but turns out, you can change gravity in unity with just one line of code
Using the Physics.Gravity property, I could easily change its direction.
With that done, I thought I would work on the graphics a bit.
I added Post Processing, some ambient particles and some fog which made the game look bearable
I also added a death animation when the player touches an enemy
So overall pretty productive day, hopefully nothing goes wrong
Work Accomplished :
