Update time... I haven't felt any better since last time, but I can't just continue to be a child about this.
In any case, no lore today, but I have an article:
The Witcher Might Not Be What You Think It Is
And also two parts to an Ink tutorial:
Scripting: Ink – Part I – The Bare Minimum
Scripting: Ink – Part II – Nesting Structures
Now, for the update... well, there's been a lot happening since I'm, technically speaking, going over about three weeks, but let me try to break it up into digestible chunks.
So, first of all, we've been doing more with AI and primarily assessing tools for future use. There are a bunch of things that seem pretty promising. In the realm of image generation, we've been using some new tools to generate profile icons for the Internet:
And it was very easy to generate a nice set of 1500 images (though we might add more later).
I've also done a lot with Ink, as I'd like to make it available for people who might want to contribute to the game. Hence also a set of tutorials on how to write it.
Additionally, I've bounced around between many different game elements, picking at this or that. It's honestly been hard to focus on anything in my current situation, so I've been jumping between different things. In no particular order:
And to top it all off, I've moved my dev environment to a different PC, as my laptop has issues, and I can't afford to replace it. So I'm moving to my desktop for game development. It was challenging to get everything working as it did before. And for a few things, I've not managed to recreate my old setup perfectly.
I'm trying to get better so I can focus on working on the game, but it isn't easy. Next week we'll have a yearly summary, I wish I could offer a few more things for it, but with the last few months of development becoming a mess, I don't have the things I planned to have ready for it.
Oh, almost forgot, have some AI generated art, new AI this time, so less images:
