I apologize - I ended up working on this release a lot longer than expected. Life took some turns. I didn't have the steady week-to-week cadence I usually do.
So here's the biggest stuff in 1.5.2. Full info in version_info.txt, as always. There was a lot this time:
- Climbing is no longer still dangerous at 100 skill
- Hirelings and adventurers can have procedurally generated descriptions
- Random artifacts (randarts)
- Implementation of the "X Lore" skills (with Oceanography renamed Ocean Lore). These allow you to find hidden treasure and shipwrecks, which have a nice cache of items and can have randarts.
- If you can fly, you can move up to open sky
- If you can swim, in certain places you can go explore underwater (careful if you have limited air, though!)
- Carcassia has been extended a bit, upwards. Try exploring once you have a way of flying.
- There is now a skill trainer located by the fighting pits in Carcassia, if you want a way to spend your ivory...
- Hills can have dolmens, a remnant of a long-vanished people
- Forests at the northern and southern extremes of the world are rockier and have more and more evergreens
- Lots of bug fixes
