Due to more and more people get to visit my project page and 'The Red Cthulhu' is always sit on the side not being playable on its HTML5 from anymore. I looks at it and the memories of 7 years ago flushed back to me. It was my first game jam, a GBJam2015 to be exact.
I remember learning the rope doing many things on Construct2 until late night after late night, piecing the game together. Remember can't be wait to commute home from work in a jammed-packed inner Bangkok's metro. To continue working on the game.
The game is survivable to say the lease. You shoot stuff and it blows up with some blips and blop sound. But even that for a person like me who never make any game before. It's a very great memories. I can make something, on my own. And it 'felt' like a game!
And the moment passed. I've moved on to many things. Checking back to the project from time to time. Trying to join another jams but, well, it's nothing quite like your first time. (Most of later jams I did are unfinished.)
I'm looking at the game page yesterday and that make me happy, my game still here. But it's make me sad also, because as times goes something on the web/browser might have changes. The HTML5 version I've upload is not playable anymore. The game's world skipped it frame every time you shoot the torpedo. So, it's just there.. my first game. always here, unplayable.
I searched my old HDD for hours. In hope I might still have the source project of the game somewhere. (I rarely organize files and tend to delete thing on the whim for the sake of space usage) Luckily i found everything.
So, here it is the game, rebuild for you to be enjoy again. On your favorite platform.
For those that frustrated with unplayable state of the game earlier, Please except my apology. And consider give the game a try.
Thank you very much.
