Happy new year, everyone! We've got some BIG plans for 2023, but for now, we're starting it off small with a patch addressing a few issues that were prevalent from the last couple updates, as well as adding a brand-new minigame!
After this, we'll finally be tackling implementing the Rewired plugin, which will fix the long-standing issues with controller support and rebinding capabilities! As of now, it's hard to say how long it will take, so you may have to hold tight for a while, but we'll provide an update as soon as we have a more proper time frame estimate.
Until then, here are the full patch notes for this update:
Throw Tech | Bug Fix | Fixed an issue where throw techs checked for the wrong state, rendering them unusable. No idea how that happened |
Dashes | Change | Non-run-type dashes now use continuous momentum, meaning that dashing into the opponent will not longer stop your dash momentum, and you will now be able to "push" other players with your dash (NOTE: We've tried to keep everyone's dash length/speed the same as it was before, but there may be some slight differences due to having to change the system entirely. If these slight differences happen to break any combo routes, trials, etc., please let us know) |
Prison Courtyard | Change | The NPCs on the stage have been updated with new, more unique designs and smoother animations. This also applies to Prison Courtyard (Basketball) |
Prison Courtyard | Fix | Fixed the textures/meshes on the wire fence so the tiling is seamless. This also applies to Prison Courtyard (Basketball) |
Arcade Mode | Addition | Added some additional NPC icons to the jumbotron pool |
Minigames | Addition | Added a new Race to the Finish minigame: Magma Core! (NOTE: This minigame is not 100% finished yet, and as of now is only available through the Minigames menu. When it's done, it will be properly added to Arcade Mode) |
Steampunk Costume | Fix | Fixed an issue where Steampunk Annie's hover sound effects were unaffected by the global volume settings |
Star Breaker Slam (Neutral Super) | Fix | Baron is now properly made invincible for the rest of the animation after connecting the initial grab |
